My daughter (now 9) has suffered from travel sickness since she was a baby. We’ve tried every remedy available and none worked! All we could do was make sure we stopped often, had a small bucket available (with a bottle of water to wash it out), plenty wipes and our journey time automatically doubled ‘just in case’. This past year however has been much better. Santa brought an MP3, with over-ear headphones not the in-ear type) for Christmas last year which she now wears on long journeys and, so far; touch wood, no sickness in the car! She was on a school trip last week and didn’t listen to her MP3 and, you guessed it, she was sick!! I’m hopeful this success will continue but have learned not to become complacent as we’ve thought we’d hit on the solution a couple of times before only to be jolted back to reality with another scream of ‘Mum, I think I’m going to be siiickkk!!’

I couldn’t agree more about the Discovery. My mom drives one and adores it, absolutely adores it. When it was decided that she was having the big car, she wanted something utilitarian. We tested a Grand Voyager, and an Espace, and then she said she wanted to drive a Discovery. 2 weeks later, there was one on the driveway. Black exterior with Shadow Chrome wheels, chrome side pipes and cream leather make it just the most gorgeous combination.

I am a huge fan of Land Rover in general. My mom and my stepdad were talking the other day, because I am now driving (am 18), they don’t need something so big, but my mom continued on to say that she wouldn’t like not having a Land Rover in the family. They weave their way into your hearts, and stay there. Once you own a Land Rover, you are a Land Rover person.

In the snow, in our road (small hill), X5s, Touaregs, C-Crossers, Cayennes, were all struggling to get up the hill. My mom, put the Disco into ‘Snow’ mode, drove down the hill, picked people up and took them to work. They are FANTASTICALLY capable, yet still brilliant to drive. I adore them.

Freelander 2 is also a fantastic vehicle.

Dear Kate,

I just want to thank you for making that Focus RS video.

I love your style, especially your giggling when you talk about performance, it is quite unconventional in the motoring press, but it’s also very refreshing compared to the rest.

In case you someday are passing Switzerland, there’s a Focus RS in my garage which is waiting to take you up the pass roads, over to Italy an back.

Keep up the good work and drive safely.

This is a really useful article as I have been trying to work out whether to buy a new or nearly new car and was unsure how good a deal the lease option might be. I will certainly keep it on my list of options now.

hi, i own a mobile vehicle repair business in newport south wales
I wanted to know if it would be ok to put a link of your website onto mine, as i feel it is important for women to know about this sort of things as men do

I get quite annoyed when i here from my female customers that garages try to rip them off
