Peugeot 207s
Feb 5th
We owned a Peugeot 205 many years ago, courtesy of a dear friend. He kindly donated it to us when he became too old to drive safely, only for it promptly to be written off by my husband who drove it into a wall to avoid hitting a sheep!
So now, years later I found myself in the 205′s upgraded self – a 2009 Peugeot 207 courtesy of a Peugeot Service Department as my 807 was dispatched for some repairs. I should add that this isn’t the car featured in Debby’s video above, which was lent to us by the nice people at Peugeot UK…
1966 Ford Anglia
Feb 4th
Ford Anglias were two a penny when I was a girl – well at least £610, and were billed as the perfect family car. Even my parents had one – although I am far too young to remember of course!
You can just imagine it; father with a soft cloth, buffing and polishing of a Sunday morning and mother getting the children ready while making the sandwiches for the Sunday outing…
Suzuki Alto SZ4
Feb 4th
The Suzuki Alto is full of delights and surprises. My first surprise being that I had to fight to get a look-in, and couldn’t figure out why it was so popular with the men. I should have known it would have been all about engine noise! Boys and their toys…
Peugeot 3008
Jan 28th
What a day full of surprises. Firstly my childen actually behave despite my usual manic behaviour when a trip is imminent. Secondly, I actually arrive on time to the launch of Peugeot’s new 3008, which isn’t a MPV, SUV or a hatch, but seems to have all their good qualities, such as space without being a tank, rugged looks without being offensive and yet still drives like a Peugeot should. This, I’m reliably informed is a ‘crossover’, which I thought was something else entirely…
CBT Motorcycle Training with Honda
Jan 28th
I was momentarily crestfallen when it was clear my sister-in-law thought I’d finally gone into therapy after I’d proudly told her I’d completed and passed my CBT course!
Maybe therapy is what I need, however, as there is nothing more satisfying than doing something new and challenging when sometimes you feel that life is passing you by. So perhaps passing the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) served the same purpose.
Having been looking forward to my day away from the kids and housework with something completely new (and potentially life-threatening) to occupy my mind, by the time the day actually arrived and we headed off to Evolution Training in Harlow thanks to Honda who had arranged the course for us, excitement and anticipatory nerves had been replaced by confusion and terror. Why? Because those who think they know best had filled my head with useful tips to help make the day go as well as possible. Confusion reigned! What was it the left hand controlled? Clutch? Brake? – HELP!
